Inspired by my recent trip to Chicago for IML weekend I wanted to put together a deeper CD with a playful naughty mood that’s great when the lights are low. The journey starts with some eastern sounds and instruments to give that exotic feel infused with slow sensual rhythms and distinct layers that awaken the ears and heighten the senses. This journey is definitely a tease throughout and has a ‘back & forth’ momentum of ‘give and take’ leading to a rush in the middle where the tempo slowly picks up with pounding grooves. From minimal beats and sounds to chunky rolling basses you’ll definitely hear a masculine undertone with a depth and height that create an atmosphere easy to lose yourself in. Enjoy!

These beats and vocals are sure to move you off the couch or out of bed and get you shakin, dancing and smiling.  Inspired by my visit to Folsom Fair last fall in San Fransisco, this CD celebrates the funk, tribal, masculine beats and vocals, electro flavours and uplifting chords to finish the ride on a high-note.  Each track and mix has layers, various mixing techniques and new sounds to offer something different to your music collection.

Soul Series 3 - Chuggin Tribal

It has been a couple of years since the 2-CD introduction of my Soul Series Collection and I hope you feel this next addition was worth the wait. It has taken some time to put together this unique collection of tracks and collaboration of various tribal beats, sounds and styles. With this CD comes a variety of tribal colours that range from a deep house vibe to funky bass lines to driving rhythms to sexy latin vocals. Tribal is one of my favorite genres of music and has so many different styles and variations that I really wanted show the range and the many flavours that interweave throughout the live feel of drums and authentic percussive sounds.

This journey definitely has some naughty twists and turns through sexy tech sounds and playful rhythms. Picture this sexy girl out on a Saturday night, she’s already in the club, dancing, mingling and ready for a full night out. Then add to that a rugged guy outside in the line-up waiting to get in to the party and start his night. After he finally gets through coat-check and makes his way to the main room, these two clubbers eventually cross paths. The journey goes from funky to techy to sexy to playful throughout their night. Eventually each notices the other and share a night on the dance floor with some classic afterhour sounds and beats til the late hours of the morning.

Turn down the lights and sink into a big comfy chair, relax and enjoy the ride.

Well fall is here and so brings a new CD to the collection. With this latest addition I’ve put together a different ride with some unexpected turns and sounds. This one’s energy keeps a sexy driving pace with some naughty vocals, electro flavours and playful tribal rhythms to keep you going from start to finish. I had lots of fun recording this one with some cut mixing, aggressive transitions and new sounds. Enjoy

This CD was fun to make and marks a new direction in my music and production tastes. You’ll notice the upbeat, playful, sexy pace keeps you moving with the ability to be played while getting ready to go out, when you come home, at the gym, during ‘play time’ and much more. Through the title of this CD I’m noticing myself almost ‘vinyl-free’ these day with the use of CD’s rather than records (although I’ll always love the feel and sound of vinyl) as well as this CD was inspired by the Famous REAL BAD party in San Francisco coming up in the fall.
